Filter Accessories

A filter assembly consists of a filter housing and high-performance filter element. Where specified, it can include bypass valves, differential pressure monitoring devices, and other sampling points. The system fluid enters the assembly through the inlet port. It flows through the inlet and into the filter element. Filter assembly process is divided into three stages: Separation, Coalescing and Filtration.

1. SEPERATION:
As fuel enters the assembly, it moves through the centrifuge and spins off large solids and water droplets, which are heavier than fuel, and fall to the bottom of the collection bowl.

2. COALESCING:
Small water droplets bead-up on the surface of the conical baffle and cartridge filter. When heavy enough, they too fall to the bottom of the collection bowl.

3. FILTRATION:
Last step is the filtration carried out by the filter element inside the assembly. The filter element needs to be replaced at regular intervals.
